Okay, so time is flying be WAY TO FAST! In these last 6 months, Hermana Wilki only has 2 months left in country and I am going to miss her SO MUCH. I have learned so much from Hermana Wilkinson, but I just wanted to share two phrases that sum of what I’ve learned from her and mean A LOT…
1) blessings are always bigger than the sacrifices
2) charity is NEVER the wrong answer
Hermana Wilkinson is just pretty much perfect! bajajajaja
So we met the new presidente this week, don’t want to give any impressions yet, so I just need to get to now him first. He’s from La Paz and has a funny little accent haha. His wife is very nice, they have all older children, except for their youngest daughter who just turned 11. He is very different from our beloved presidente Zambrano, but he is full of energy and lots of good ideas and big plans and goals, so it should be a good last 6 months with him.
We met a couple SUPER THIRSTY for the gospel this week. I have never met somone with so much sed como el Hermano Jose. He’s in his 40s and she just turned 20, they aren’t married, and they have a 5 yearold daughter named rosita, they are a really nice couple, they couldn’t make it to church on Sunday, but he just has such great sincere thirst for the Gospel… what happens when we die, how can families be eternal, who is Joseph Smith, what is the Book of Mormon, there are modern prophets?? The spirit is SO strong when we teach them. I feel the spirit so much when teaching with Hermana Wilkinson, everything just flows so well as we’ve been teachig here in the new area. The area is still kind of struggling, but things have started to move, we are looking at the listo de miembros these next couple of week, and there are TONS of who we don’t see regularly at church. Menos actives many times end up turning a lot more duro than an investigador but they often times already understand the importance of the Gospel, and can fill callings and help reactivate and baptize other people really easily. So we have A LOT of work ahead of us, that we are happy to complete.
Scripture ephiphany this week!!!
Every time I read 2 Nephi 2 or 9 I always have some huge epiphany, generally about the fasl of Adam and Eve and why it was necessary, so to understand that a little better I direct you to those 2 chapters. BUT in verses 17 and 18 it says:
17 And I, Lehi, according to the things which I have read, must needs suppose that an angel of God, according to that which is written, had fallen from heaven; wherefore,he became a devil, having sought that which was evil before God.
18 And because he had fallen from heaven, and had become miserable forever, he sought also the misery of all mankind. Wherefore, he said unto Eve, yea, even that old serpent, who is the devil, who is the father of all lies, wherefore he said: Partake of the forbidden fruit, and ye shall not die, but ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil.
24 But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.
For he doth counsel in wisdom over all His works, and his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round. — Alma 37:12 I am quickly running out of time and so I don’t have time to explain my thoughts on 1 Nephi 21:16, but think about that and the ressurrection and I think everything will make more sense. I love the scriptures these days, and I’m really learning to appreciate the Old Testament more and more and more! I need to read more jaja, than just like 3 hours a day, bahahaha.
I love yall so much!! And the Lord’s work is really just an eternal round, it will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS goes back to the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Everyone’s life will have many doors open to the restored truth, and I would like each of you to remember that this is one of those doors, which on my part will be closing in about 5 months.
Have a great week my beloved ones, keep a prayer in your heart and a smile on your face!!
