September 26, 2016 {Week 67}:Time is passing too rapidly

Yeah okayyyy… this week is a brief update and something a little different with mostly just scriptures for all y’all.

I am experiencing some real heaven-sent patience. I literally have no idea where it was coming from! At the beginning of my mission or at home there is NO WAY I would be able to work with my new little companion. But somehow, everyday, I don’t get frustrated, I don’t get offended, I’m happy, I’m just totally at peace with everything and I have no idea where it is coming from….. it’s fantastic!

La conferencia de mujeres was THE BEST! POR FIN they didn’t just say “you are beautiful daughter of God and He loves you…. you’re all just perfect and keep going and be a mom”…. they actually talked about meaningful things. At LAST! It was a really good conference and this was my favorite phrase— “we need to be women of tact, but also women who can boldly and frankly share our beliefs.” We missed the Uchtdorf talk, we had permission to only be out until 9. But it was a really big blessing to be able to go and listen! Yeah, now moving on to just scriptures and very little commentary from yours truly…but hopefully y’all will be able to let the Spirit teach you.

Excerpts from Alma 32
Alma teaches the poor whose afflictions had humbled them—Faith is a hope in that which is not seen which is true—Alma testifies that angels minister to men, women, and children—Alma compares the word unto a seed—It must be planted and nourished—Then it grows into a tree from which the fruit of eternal life is picked. About 74 B.C.

Que es la fe? what is faith?
18 Now ask, is this faith? Behold, say unto you, Nay; for if man knoweth thing he hath no cause to believefor he knoweth it.
21 And now as said concerning faith—faith is not tohave perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye havefaith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.
26 Now, as said concerning faith—that it was not aperfect knowledge—even so it is with my words. Ye cannot know of their surety at first, unto perfection, anymore than faith is perfect knowledge.

I shared this next one with someone once I think, but I can’t remeber who, but it WAS in English, that much I know.
27 But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise aparticle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in manner that ye can give place for portion of my words.

All if we have to do is give a smaaaall place to the seed so that it can take root in our hearts and grow and all it takes is a teeny weeny DESIRE to believe, nothing else. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass(like a mustard seed or a grain of quinoa(to put a mustard seed into perspective bajajaja))
22 And now, behold, say unto you, and would that ye should remember, that God is merciful unto all who believe on his name; therefore he desireth, in the firstplace, that ye should believe, yea, even on his word.

The Lord WANTS us to believe and be saved, He will give us EVERY opportunity to make that choice, ahora siendo malvados, we often choose NOT to take that opporuntity, but he will never stop giving us that opportunity which reminds me of
2 Nephi 25

The next series of scriptures can be related to Matthew 13 (https://www.lds.org/scriptures/nt/matt/13.1-9,18-23?lang=eng)
35 then, is not this real? say unto you, Yea, because it is lightand whatsoever is light, is goodbecause it is discernible, therefore ye must know that it is good; andnow behold, after ye have tasted this light is your knowledge perfect?
36 Behold say unto you, Nay; neither must ye lay aside your faith, for ye have only exercised your faith to plant the seed that ye might try the experiment to know if theseed was good.
37 And behold, as the tree beginneth to grow, ye will say: Let us nourish it with great care, that it may get root, that it may grow up, and bring forth fruit unto us. And now behold, if ye nourish it with much care it will get root, and grow up, and bring forth fruit.
38 But if ye neglect the tree, and take no thought for its nourishment, behold it will not get any root; and when the heat of the sun cometh and scorcheth it, because it hath no root it withers away, and ye pluck it up and cast it out.
39 Now, this is not because the seed was not good, neither is it because the fruit thereof would not be desirable; but it is because your ground is barrenand ye will not nourish the tree, therefore ye cannot have the fruit thereof.
40 And thus, if ye will not nourish the word, looking forward with an eye of faith to the fruit thereof, ye can never pluck of the fruit of the tree of life.
The tree has to be nourished on the ground of our hearts, but the grounds of our hearts are created by US.  The greatest work we have in this life is our own selves…. this is the time to prepare to meet God…. and if we don’t have the faith to do it? who are we? Nada somos, from death we are and to dust we shall return… but to God we are His children!  That’s why the opportunites to develop faith are ALWAYS AVAILABLE…. but we in our feeble human ignorance CHOOSE TO IGNORE THEM.  We are so insignificant alado del Señor and yet we are everything to Him……… it’s humbling.

My favorite scriptures are these last 3!

41 But if ye will nourish the word, yea, nourish the tree asit beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence,and with patiencelooking forward to the fruit thereof, itshall take root; and behold it shall be tree springing up unto everlasting life.
42 And because of your diligence and your faith and your patience with the word in nourishing it, that it may take root in you, behold, by and by ye shall pluck the fruit thereof, which is most precious, which is sweet above all that is sweet, and which is white above all that is white,yea, and pure above all that is pure; and ye shall feast upon this fruit even until ye are filled, that ye hunger not, neither shall ye thirst.
43 Then, my brethren, ye shall reap the rewards of your faith, and your diligence, and patience, and long-suffering, waiting for the tree to bring forth fruit unto you.
And verse 41 is my medetizar for the week… and this ENTIRE chapter on faith can also be related to 1 Corinthians 3 https://www.lds.org/scriptures/nt/1-cor/3?lang=eng

Anyway, that’s it for the week folks. Love you all dearly!  Rememebr to develop the faith it takes ACTION, faith without works is dead, if we cease to act maybe we are spiritually dead…. or just physicaly dead. Either way TODAY IS THE DAY TO CHOOSE.
